The Curowan Fire ‘officially extinguished’

Seventy-four days

three hundred and twelve homes

five hundred thousand hectares.

Three lives lost.

 

Today

the rain, filled with fury,

comes at the full moon

to bring relief.

Thanks to all the fire-fighters, emergency services and support teams who kept us safe.

Now the State Emergency Service is dealing with the damage caused by torrential rain along the east coast of Australia.
