Walnut and Copper inks

In my previous post I talked about making black walnut ink. Even though it has been some time, I haven’t forgotten to report back.

Here are some images I have designed using a cola pen and the walnut ink combined with a beautiful pale turquoise copper ink. I made the copper ink by putting copper wire in a glass jar, covering it with a mixture of vinegar and salt and stirring it every day for for four weeks (See page 98 of Jason Logan’s book Make Ink).

I will be using these images in some of the six books I am making for the forthcoming exhibition COMPASSION.

Now, that’s a subject that’s easy to get lost in…
