Altered Children’s Books

Last Saturday I ran an altered book workshop as part of the Easter Art Market in Milton. The market was a great success with a stream of visitors from out of town. We had a pile of old and damaged children’s  books to play with and here are some of the creations that resulted from ‘altering’ them.

bambi bunting Carrie made bunting from the pages of a chewed Bambi Golden book using a hole punch, string and buttons to hold the bunting in place (see above). She also folded the pages of a tiny paperback and decorated the inside covers with cut-outs from Bambi (below).

Carrie's altered book Poppy and Darcy collaged cut-outs into re-purposed board books with delightful results.
