Altered books Part II

Here are some more photographs from the Altered Books workshops I ran at The Lady Denman Museum in Huskisson, NSW  this month. I loved seeing how everyone approached their projects in such different ways!

Only yesterday I saw the charity shop workers dumping boxes of books in their dumpster! I hope the photographs give you some idea of the endless possibilities old and discarded books offer for creative play.

Maybe they will  inspire you to rescue and transform a discarded book.

Sue's many-layered altered bookAnd Sue carefully rolled, folded, thought and cut to transform her book into a powerful statement.

There were many more ( including Jill’s antique vegetable book with a turnip cutout inside) but alas, I don’t have photographs of them.
